Rowe Sanctuary, near Gibbon, Nebraska -- Northern Harrier
My friend and fellow photographer John Dutton and I were photographing Sandhill Cranes out of a blind at Rowe Sanctuary. John looked out of a window looking away from the river and spotted this Northern Harrier. When I looked, the Harrier was out of sight. John was sure the Harrier had went down into the tall grass. We watched for a couple of minutes and sure enough the Harrier flew out of the tall grass and was back on the hunt.
