Rowe Sanctuary, near Gibbon, Nebraska -- Sandhill Cranes
I felt fortunate to spot this one-legged Sandhill Crane amongst all of the other cranes. The others seemed to chase him away. It is hard for any animal to survive in the wild, but especially hard for one with only one leg. I included another image of this one legged crane for any skeptics who may think his other leg was temporarily hidden.
