An Evening at Oxbow Bend Series
The following series of photos were taken on one Spring
evening at Oxbow Bend off the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park,
Wyoming. I had never been to this spot before. As I looked around the
parking lot I noticed the only other vehicle there also had Nebraska
license plates. I watched the numerous Common Mergansers on the river.
Pretty soon I saw someone walk up from the river bank. I was surprised
to see one of my most admired photographers, Michael Forsberg, and a
friend of his walk up from the shore. Michael was friendly, as always.
He was photographing Sandhill Cranes for an upcoming project. Michael
said this is a great area and he would like to stay but he had a prior
commitment. The next couple of hours proved to be one of my most exciting
evenings of photography.
